Other From a vineyard planted on the south facing slopes of Bakenkop in 2004. Glenrosa, shale soils at 150 m above sea-level and 9 Km from the Atlantic Ocean. Yields of 8.5 tons/Ha. Farmed organically since June 2015, but not certified.

Harvested on the 11th of February. Picked by hand into crates, early in the morning. Whole-bunch pressed followed by overnight settling before racked into seasoned, 300 litre, French oak barrels. Spontaneous fermentation from ambient yeasts took place in the barrel after which the wine went through 100% malolactic fermentation. The wine matured in barrel on the fine lees for 8 months before bottling.
